Drawing from her experience of researching her own family’s history for nearly six years, she will share practical tips and tricks for using both well known and more obscure family history resources. Whether you're an experienced family historian or are simply interested in the subject, you'll find this presentation to be both practical and fun.

“Family history is all about honoring the stories and adventures, the trials and triumphs, the journeys and the lives of men and women who came before us,” says Bearman. “It’s about zooming out and seeing oneself in the larger context of family relationships.”

The program begins at 4 p.m. and is open to the whole community.

Temple B’nai Chaim is located 82 Portland Ave., Georgetown.
